my story

To start a website you obviously need to add some information about yourself, so this is my story:

My name is Diana Buss. I was born in 1979 and I live in Rostock, a city very close to the baltic sea in Germany. I graduated university in 2005 as a biologist and at the moment I'm working on my PHD.

My first contact with amigurumi happend to be very coincidental when I was searching the web for a way to make a little frog for a friend as a birthday present. I found these amigurumi things to be very cute; but I never considered crocheting to be one of my favorite crafts, since it would only end up in doilies or old fashioned lace embellishments. But when I happened to see the dolls of Beth Doherty I simply fell in love with amigurumi dolls.

Now I'm developing my own patterns and dolls. I often realize how my study on biology affects my designing; since every single one of my insects has its required number of legs, namely six.
